How’s that for a title? Isn’t that all that really matters? This is why we Google things like “best questions to ask your advisor?” or “how do I know I have the right advisor?” Google then shoots out bullet pointed articles. Before your next meeting you memorize the questions and find yourself armed and dangerous. You roll in and attempt to dissect your advisor with questions that they’ve heard a million times before, enabling them to answer every single one with passion and enthusiasm. You leave this conversation feeling one of two ways. “That person is amazing. I sure found myself a good one.” or “I wish I could shoot them with truth serum and just ask one question instead of ten. WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO MY MONEY?” That’s why we are writing this post. We want to answer that question.
You see, even though transparency should be something that comes with the deal, that’s not always the case. There are examples of unethical people working in every industry who are not pursuing what is best for their client. Our structure puts us on the same side of the table as you, so here’s the gig: if you don’t prosper, neither do we. That’s what we mean by “we are on the same side of the table as you.” That’s the way it should be. We believe in the value we provide, which is why we communicate it with excitement and enthusiasm whenever we can. A tried, true and tested system that produces results doesn’t have to be sold; it just has to be utilized to the advantage of whoever is involved. We have real results here, and that’s not a sales pitch.
We are big on people and time, but above those things are the results. We need to provide results for you our clients, because that is what keeps you happy — and us in business. Rapport, structure and understanding are important, but without results they don’t mean nearly as much. We assess your needs/wants and ask questions that lead to great answers. We take this data and craft a plan designed for you. After that, we act as your pilot to your goals. We may get you there quicker than expected with clear sky’s or we may get you there a little later because we might experience some turbulence. We will plan to get you there though, and my friend, that’s what happens to your money.
